Acuity App – Booking and Rescheduling

 

Yinspire uses software called Acuity Scheduling for booking classes. This is off the shelf software, and does have the disadvantage of not having a web based login in for yoga clients to view all their classes.

However the Acuity Scheduling Client App gives aspects of this functionality.

 

Setting the App Up – Three (Maybe Four) Steps

1 – Download -You can find the app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

You’ll find four buttons on the bottom, from left to right:

  • Business
  • Calendar
  • Packages
  • Account

2 – Once you’ve downloaded it, go to Account Button far right and create an account – you’ll need your email address.  Make sure you are then shown as logged in.

3 – Then add Yinspire as a business by going to the Business Button on the far left. You need to add “Yinspire.as.me” (Yinspire dot as dot me).

If you are a Pay As You Go Client of mine, then you should be done, and you can book your appointments and buy class passes (called packages).

4 – If you book your classes with me as a Block Booking, there is one extra step to set up the app.   I need you to book up a test appointment so your account can be linked to bookings.

  • Make sure you are logged in on app (step 2 above) – this is important.
  • Go to the business button, and book a Yin Yoga over Zoom class, any date
  • At checkout enter “Regular” in the “Redeem Coupon or Package” button – you won’t be charged or have to enter card details, and you don’t need to attend the session
  • Email me and let me done you’ve done this

I’ll then be able to link your new account to your existing bookings. 

Once I’ve given you access to appointments you should be able to see and manage all your classes from the calendar button.  You may need to log out of the app and back in, or refresh the calendar by a drag and hold downward.

 

Using the App – Pay As You Go

If you join classes PAYG, or want to join a one off like a Saturday class, then you can:

  • Book classes by going to the Business Button and opening Yinspire – there is a 15 minute cut off before class start
  • Cancel and reschedule classes from the Calendar Button – there is a 24 cut off before class start (48 hours for Saturdays and workshops)
  • See forthcoming and past appointments from the Calendar Button

You can also purchase class passes from the Packages Button.  Once you have purchased a class pass the Package Button gives you an easy view on what is left on the pass, and the ability to schedule appointments.  Alternatively you can schedule appointments via the Business Button and enter your email or class pass code at checkout.

Please be aware when a class is cancelled it cannot be rebooked, so use reschedule rather than cancel if you want to move to another date.  If you have a class pass then cancellations go back onto the pass.

 

Using the App – Yogis With a Block Booking

If you join classes with a Block Booking, then the course booking is done by myself, and can’t be done in the App.  Email me if you want to book a course.

However once signed up to course you can:

  • Cancel and reschedule classes from the Calendar Button – there is a 24 cut off before class start, and remember you can only reschedule within the current term
  • See forthcoming and past appointments from the Calendar Button

Please be aware when a class is cancelled it cannot be rebooked, so use reschedule rather than cancel if you want to move to another date.

If you want to reschedule between class types, or from a studio class to a zoom class, then this can’t be done directly, but there is a simple workaround:

  • Cancel your regular class
  • Book your new class and at checkout enter “Regular” in the “Redeem Coupon or Package” button
  • This will discount the new class to £nil
